As indicated by the addition "Services" in its name, this GmbH is a service provider for the group of physicians who cooperate under the UGRS trademark. It serves, for example, to ensure precise compliance with German medical billing law (GOÄ), since a billing method frequently used in Germany by self-employed plastic surgeons is unlawful under the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ). The accusation made by some competitors that this organisational structure serves to circumvent existing regulations is untrue and unfair – on the contrary, the structure serves precisely to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and was set up accordingly by our specialist lawyers.

This has no effect on the doctor-patient relationship. Liability for the treatment of patients rests fully and clearly with the respective treating physician and their professional liability insurance.

The UGRS doctors have joined together in an international network of physicians (under EU law) to support healthcare and promote the wellbeing of fellow human beings regardless of age or gender. Holistic, comprehensive, optimal care and quality assurance are the central priorities here. The founder of the group of physicians, the doctor Jörg Hagen, recognised during a period spent abroad as part of his medical training that, in certain areas of medical care, it is a disadvantage that the training of German doctors takes place within the statutory health system, which makes up around 90% of the German healthcare system. This is because the therapies offered and taught follow the provisions of Book Five of the German Social Code (SGB V), which defines patients' entitlement to adequate – but unfortunately not optimal – care. He came to know innovative treatment methods that were advantageous for patients, as well as doctors with outstanding experience in them. He resolved to make these methods easily accessible to people in Germany as well, in the uro-genital reconstructive field in which he had come to know these differences.

Wherever possible, through considerable personal initiative, he has enforced reimbursement of costs by health insurers in individual cases by way of court rulings.

To clearly illustrate the distinction between the group of physicians and the service GmbH, the trademark rights to the UGRS brand are held by this very doctor, Jörg Hagen.

Unless limited by European regulations and rulings of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) (with respect to the individual doctor), the following supervisory bodies are responsible:
